Agoura Hills Wedding Featured on Ruffled Blog

We were featured! Kevin and Melissa’s big day was at the amazing Trufino Creek Vineyard in Agoura Hills. We were beyond amazed by its beauty when we first saw the venue. The couple wanted their main colors to be burnt orange and mint and we added a bit of peach and ivory to soften the look. We used mostly orange roses, calla lilies and ranunculus and softened the orange with peach Juliet roses, ivory hydrangea, and pretty white lilac. To bring in the mint, we used viburnum and olive branches among other mixed greenery.

From the stylist, Melissa of Styling Starts HereAs Hall & Oates’ “You Make My Dreams Come True” closed the ceremony, we knew this would be a fun celebration for Melissa, Kevin and their 110 guests. The couple that met online a few years back spared no creative expense when designing their dream wedding. Outdoor tenting, romantic setting, customized chalkboard art signage, Edison bulb chandelier above the dance floor, gastropub food for cocktail hour, bistro lighting, overload of candles, vintage mirror trays, a playful dessert station, wine barrels galore, the list goes on! We also had wonderful time with the bride’s parents surprising the couple with event details like an aerial signage plane that flew over the venue after the ceremony, a video montage during the reception and the father/daughter dance sung by American Idol’s, Matt Rogers.

Modern Wedding at the Chuck Jones Center

We were lucky to work with In The Now and other amazing vendors on Sepi + Ryan’s wedding day and are excited to share the photos!

There’s something about In the Now Weddings that we just simply adore. Maybe its the way that their style is SO original and distinct that those who are familiar with their work, can easily say, “Yep, that’s an In The Now wedding!” We love collaborating with them!

The ceremony backdrop later became the cake table backdrop.

There were different types of table top arrangements for this event. Several tabletops had a gold dipped terrarium with succulents, air plants and greenery.

We used bold and colorful blooms in white square or rectangle vases on the remaining tables. The vases were filled with cafe au lait and fuchsia dahlias, orange roses, yellow ranunculus and other textural accents like gilded succulents and greens.    1236688_395759003880461_1534534913_n 12057_395759037213791_1867393021_n 1234207_395758990547129_1499914684_n

Amanda Auer and the In The Now Team used the modern white blank slate of The Chuck Jones Center to their advantage by completely transforming it into one gorgeous event.

Rustic Ivory and Succulent Wedding

The Villa in San Juan Capistrano is one of our favorite venues in Orange County. With all its natural beauty, there isn’t much anyone has to do to make a bride feel like she’s having her dream wedding!

Have you seen The Villa? There are so many elements that make it so gorgeous from the walkway entrance to the gorgeous offering candles in the chapel!

We used The Villa as inspiration in our centerpieces and the design we added to the venue; all natural and simple to create one cohesive look. We used a simple garland of torn muslin, burlap and ribbon as Sarisa + Ryan’s ceremony backdrop and smaller versions of the garland to accent chairs along the aisle. And for our tables and centerpieces, we used simple wooden boxes as vessels and filled them with hydrangea, lisianthus, brunia, astilbe, roses, succulents and gorgeous maidenhair fern. We also had some tables with simple candle pillars with accented moss and succulents.

The details Sarisa added to her day were unreal; so creative, cute and special. Each table setting included simple buttons with her guests’ name that gave the feeling of intimacy and care for each of their guests, The bride and groom had a subtle “direction and compass” theme with globes, maps, and simple quotes throughout the venue.

Now onto my favorite part, let’s check out the bride + groom’s wedding style! I love looking at pictures of our brides and grooms, especially Sarisa and Ryan; you can literally see their love in their eyes!

Summer Wedding Inspiration Shoot

We were so incredibly excited to be a part of Rue Magazine’s Wedding & Entertaining issue with this bold and colorful shoot produced by the amazing ladies at Be Inspired PR and headed by the designers at Gather Events. We had so much fun collaborating with this awesome group of vendors and providing the florals for this shoot that has already gotten so much LOVE!

In the words of Be Inspired PR on the Green Wedding Shoes Feature, From the beginning, we knew we wanted to create a wedding that captured the essence of summer. GATHER Events did just that when they came up with a playful yet elegant color palette and a design board full of lush florals. Summer weddings are all about embracing bold colors and patterns, rich florals and greenery and a playfulness that can only be found under the sun. We brought in fun details to perfectly bring our vision to life – ikat pattern, water color details, bold pops of Bougainvillea and Jacaranda, accents of fresh grapefruit and earthy, wooden details. The wedding gown we chose from Kirstie Kelly perfectly embodied our “sweet with a touch of spice” vibe. We paired it with a punchy fuchsia bridesmaid gown from Jenny Yoo.  ruesummer-styled-20 ruesummer-styled-07 ruesummer-styled-19 ruesummer-styled-18 ruesummer-styled-17 ruesummer-styled-16 ruesummer-styled-15 ruesummer-styled-14 ruesummer-styled-13 ruesummer-styled-12 ruesummer-styled-11 ruesummer-styled-10 ruesummer-styled-09 ruesummer-styled-08 ruesummer-styled-06 ruesummer-styled-05 ruesummer-styled-04 ruesummer-styled-03 ruesummer-styled-02 ruesummer-styled-01
