Rancho Las Lomas New Year’s Eve Wedding

Where do I even begin?! WOW! This was definitely a wedding for the books, for so many reasons.  Monika and Steve were one of the couples that you look at and you can honestly and truly feel the love that is shared between them.  Monika has such a warm and loving spirit to her and you can feel that she has a desire to live life to it’s absolute fullest, love as much as she possibly can and most of all you can tell that she has a desire to never stop growing in herself or her relationships.  Throughout the process of the wedding planning, we never talked about these things, but you just knew they were there, it was a feeling of sincerity and that she had such a deep and loving heart.  When she would see you, she would Thank You and tell you how happy she was that you were there in this experience with her, and you could TELL she truly truly meant it because she followed it up with the warmest hug! Monika has truly inspired me as a person and I am grateful for that. Congratulations to Monika and Steve, you have a BEAUTIFUL life ahead of you!

The boutonnieres were made of wintery white ranunculus and Brunia Berries wrapped in a textured ivory ribbon with gray velvet accents.

How gorgeous is this custom ribbon that Monika had made?! Each Bridesmaid had a different line from 1 Corinthians that we hand tied around their bouquets of white anemones, garden roses, ranunculus and of course that beautiful and wintery dusty miller.

Monika’s Bouquet was made of a feminine and wintery mix of garden roses, ranunculus, white anemones, brunia berries, and dusty miller that we hand tied in a beautifully pleated ribbon wrap and her custom linen ribbon that read “I Z Wed 12.31.12”  The Z is for her Husbands last name Zeldin…so sweet!!

The Ceremony was only lit by Bistro lights and candlelit which made for the warmest kind of light.  It was gorgeous. Stunning.  In the center of the U-shaped Ceremony was the softly lit Chuppah that was very simple decorated with branches, hanging candles and simple blooms.  This just might be one of my favorites!

The centerpieces were a wonderfully eclectic mix of vintage metals, mercury glass, and vintage crystal vessels.  Some were filled with wintery white blooms with deep purple accents and some were filled with hand dipped gold dusted fruits…AMAZE! In between the arrangements there were pockets of driftwood with tufts of wintery white flowers and vintage gold votives nestled in.

Behind the Bride and the Groom, Lindsay from LVL Weddings and Events placed the Found Vintage mantle piece that we adorned with driftwood arrangements and candlelight.

This New Years Eve Wedding was just plain AMAZING! We are so grateful to have been a part of all of it and what a way to cap off a wonderful year for our business! May this set the tone for the year to come!  Congratulations to Steve and Monika and a HUGE Thank you to the most amazing planner Lindsay Longacre of LVL Events and Christine Bentley who got these images out SUPER fast and all of the other awesome vendors who made this event what it was.  Happy New Year Everyone!

50 Shades of Gray Inspirations

Most of you have probably read E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey, and if you haven’t read it, we’re sure you’ve heard of it! When I started hearing about it and seeing it all over social media, I kept telling myself I wouldn’t jump on the Christian Grey bandwagon. An erotic romance novel including contracts and BDSM? Yeah, that didn’t sound remotely interesting at all. But, boy was I wrong! I ended up reading the whole trilogy in 4 days; couldn’t put them down! And with all the hype that the novels are, we thought we’d put together our own Fifty Shades themed wedding– what we envision when we think Fifty Shades of Grey.

Anemones are such an amazing stand-out flower. Their dark centers give a unique, and sensual feel. Anemone would be used as the main flower in this 50 Shades wedding.

We wanted to incorporate little “Easter eggs” into our overall theme. Like these wine bottles, sailboats and piano! Throughout the trilogy, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele begin almost every meal or end every night with a glass of wine. I’d almost become a pro with different types of wine when I finished the trilogy! Using these candlestick and wine bottle pairings create a simple yet sexy look. Christian is often written to be playing the piano and at the piano is where he’s shown to be the most vulnerable, I had to incorporate the piano escort card! He also loves sailing, and in the books, Ana gives Christian cuff links he is quite fond of! Nothing cuter than these sailboat cuff links!

I love love love the Vibiana. Funny enough, I had my Senior Prom there and was amazed with how much potential this gorgeous building is. Lucky for me, it’s already dressed up in the purples I’d imagined for our 50 Shades wedding. It’s architecture is seductive and almost erotic, and it used to be a church(;

Palm Springs Wedding

Elisa and Komron are a very special couple to me, I honestly felt like Elisa and I were friends from the moment we met.  Our initial flower consultations involved a lot of chatting and about way more than flowers…I seriously love this girl! Elisa has impeccable taste and wanted a soft and feminine feel with light vintage touches.  We created the look by using antique hydrangeas, ruffly ranunculus, garden roses and the most amazing black centered anemones.  For a little bit of a shimmery vintage feel we used Mercury Glass vessels and antique silver urns.  Kelley Lee Gin of Picture Perfect Events added glistening gold linens and sequin accents to make the event feel modern with a warm undertone.  Besides all of the gorgeous decor that they had, they added a super special touch that I have never seen before…they brought in PUPPIES for their guests to canoodle with!! It made for fantastic pictures and I am SURE for a few entertaining stories!  Thank you to Ashley Rose Photography for another impeccably captured event…seriously girl, you are talented.  Congratulations to my sweet couple Elisa and Komron!

{Vintage Wedding Ideas}

I had to repost some of my absolute favorite pictures.  These were from a photo shoot that we did at The Historic Casino in San Clemente.  It is one of my very favorite new venues.  It is filled with so much old San Clemente charm but in a new and modern way.  The gardens are complete with a minimalistic succulent landscape, white stucco walls and a stunning view of the ocean just a block away…you have to check it out!! Also, another one of my very favorite vendors is in this shoot…Found Vintage Rentals…all of the furniture is one of a kind, restored vintage pieces that she rents out for weddings, parties, showers etc…Check them both out!!
