The Look Of Love Event, Orange County

Last November, we were so excited to be a part of California Wedding Day’s The Look of Love Event at the Chuck Jones Center. We had the pleasure of working with the most amazing team headed by LVL Weddings and Events!

It was so fun to create this hanging centerpiece installation using pretty coral peonies, vibrant tulips, and roses, and filled with lush greenery; we seriously love it. Ps. Can someone please order one so we can recreate it?!

We kept the tablescape pretty simple to really make the hanging centerpiece stand out using only single peony blooms in gold bud vases with candlesticks, decanters and votives.

Blue Magpie Invitations killed it with these chalkboard-like invites, menus, and labels!

And we can’t forget about the amazing little details! Little gold bud vases, gold votives, crystal decanters, vintage books, vintage candlesticks, the GORGEOUS globe!…  TLOL-OC-87-2227699937-O TLOL-OC-74-2227697759-O TLOL-OC-55-2227694965-O TLOL-OC-50-2227694366-O TLOL-OC-35-2227692384-O TLOL-OC-86-2227699677-O TLOL-OC-89-2227700245-O TLOL-OC-05-2227687854-O TLOL-OC-66-2227697026-O

Purple Wedding Bouquet

See the Full Bouquet Recipe Feature on Wedding Chicks!

For this bouquet, I wanted to incorporate a lot of texture but all in the purple tones.  I used the lilacs and the fuchsia peonies as the main focus because they are simply incredible.  I used the pale purple Antheriums as a leaf texture as opposed to a flower, the deep purple plum leaves to give it a little drama, and the different types of ferns to give the bouquet a whimsical and airy feel.  The purple Anemones are another personal favorite and can give a certain wildflower feeling that I love.  This mixture of blooms is also super sweet smelling in addition to it’s stunning combination of purple hues.

Hotel Del Coronado Wedding

Constance Curtis and I had a blast pulling the details together for this wedding!  Erika was a super classic and timeless kind of a bride.  Her family has a tradition of staying at the Hotel Del Coronado every summer so it was an obvious place for her to marry her Prince Charming.  We wanted a very regal and classic feel with a bright and beachy lightness to it, so we chose the pale yellows with whites and greens with a tiny pop of blue.

Erika’s wedding was in the perfect time of the year to get the coveted yellow peonies in the mix…pure amazingness.

For the ceremony, we took the Gazebo at the Hotel Del Coronado and draped the front of it in a beautiful raw silk fabric to soften (and hide!) the existing lattice work that was behind it.  We bordered it with two think bands and tiebacks of hydrangea, dahlias and fluffy green viburnum.

For the reception we used a vintage crystal and gold candelabra that perfectly fit the feel of the Grand Ballroom…totally old world charm! We went with all tall centerpieces to fill the large room and high ceilings.  The head table was filled with an eclectic mix of vintage crystal vases with peonies, garden roses ranunculus and hydrangea (not pictured here).
