Brooke and Matthew are SUCH a sweet couple! I had so much fun working with Brooke and bringing together all of the details for this fabulous day.  Brooke is super creative and paid attention to all of the details which made such a difference in the overall look and feel of this home wedding.  Brooke has officially turned her passion of weddings and design into a career and has become a Wedding Coordinator Extraordinaire! {Their Love Story}

Superbowl Sunday was beyond super for Brooke and Matthew when they met that day at a party in a restaurant. The pair spent two years traveling between San Diego and Riverside to keep up their winning relationship. A morning trip to Balboa Island became a photo opportunity for Brooke and Matthew when the attractive couple was approached to have their pictures taken on a sailing company’s boat for publicity for the business. A few rough waves brought Matthew to his knee…to ask for Brooke’s hand in marriage. Brooke had no idea until that moment that he had planned it all along!

{Details of Distinction}

The rustic garden setting of the bride’s family home emphasized the vintage elements found in old frames, a wrought iron birdcage and unique floral vessels.

{L’Auberge Wedding}

Kim and Garrett are such an inspirational couple to me.  Garrett is one of the many amazing soldiers that serves for our Country and Kim is one of the amazingly strong wives that supports him.  Every time that I met with Kim I was updated with her wedding planning of course as well as all of the things that she was doing to create a life for her and her husband to be while he was over seas…This woman worked her butt off at multiple jobs, in the gym late night, house hunting AND moving! AS WELL as planning a beautiful wedding and honeymoon completely on her own! They inspire me!  I think it takes an extra strong connection, faith and trust to be able to endure what they endure.  Garrett, Thank you for everything that you do for our Country and Kim, Thank you for keeping him strong and loved!

Now you can enjoy some of their beautiful wedding photos even more with that little slice of background information.  Kim was trying to create a vintage, beachy and chic feel.  We used tons of warm ivories, pale taupes, natural elements like driftwood, balsa wood flowers and manzanita branches.  They were married at the beautiful L’Auberge Resort in Del Mar, Ca…a truly breathtaking view! For the Bridesmaids, Kim gifted hand made clutch purses made by the super talented Ally Lossness of Moda Viajando Custom Bags, and we accented them with mini Bridesmaid’s Bouquets made of beachy orchids and balsa wood flowers.  I LOVE the idea of clutches either in lieu of bouquets or in addition to them…you can mismatch them or totally coordinate them and I think that they are such an awesome and useful bridesmaid gift.  Such a beautiful wedding, Congrats Kim and Garrett!

{Spanish Inspired Wedding}

So I have not posted in SOOO long and I am SOOO Sorry!  Life has been super hectic with lots of weddings, brides and a super fast crawling baby! But I am back on the blog and am working super hard at gathering all of the fabulous wedding photos from the amazing events that I have been so busy making happen since this past spring.  I am going to start with one of my personal favorites as well as some friends of mine.  Dodger and Clarissa make a phenomenal couple and you can feel it by just looking at their wedding photos.  Clarissa made a beautiful spanish bride and Dodger was her all american sweetheart.  The details that they incorporated were one of a kind and something that I truly have never seen done at The Casa Romantica before! Their amazing and super talented Paper People {Birds and Planes Letterpress}  actually took the medallions from the spanish tiles and created Save The Dates, Invitations and Menu Cards out of them, they also used the design on the cake! Simply stunning and so darn creative.  We carried the spanish theme through to the flowers, using brick reds, oranges, tons of green textures and succulents, as well as pomegranates and grapefruits.  Take a look and be inspired!!

{Rustic Wedding Ideas}

Kristen + Morgan tied the knot at Dove Canyon in Rancho Santa Margarita.  Kristin had a very rustic and wild feel to her wedding infused with all of the warm elements of fall.  Her Bridesmaids were clad in olive green dresses with vintage cowboy boots and she had hers to match! We created an arch draped with orange and red fall leaves, burlap and berries.  The Bouquets were filled with twigs, twine and woodsy accents, finished off in a soft burlap wrap.  For centerpieces we used chocolate brown Manzanita Branches glowing from hanging votives and deep burgundy dahlias with sunset-tones roses…Beautiful! Take a Peek! Thank you to Jeffrey Neal Photography for the amazing images!

Kim + Andrew were married at an intimate ceremony in San Juan Capistrano.  Their reception was held at El Adobe where they sipped on chilled margaritas and danced the night away!  Kim is a close friend and fellow Wedding Industry Specialist with her own Wedding Planning Company… Kimberly Conners Events {www.kimberlyconnersevents.com }. So needless to say she had all of the details completely covered!  Take a look!

“As a wedding coordinator, I have had the pleasure of working with Aly with

“The Vines Leaf” on over 10 weddings. Aly is so unbelievably talented! The

wedding guests are always commenting on how beautiful her flowers are. She

also was the florist for my wedding in June 2009. My flowers and

centerpieces were amazing! They were everything I pictured and more. Aly

is such a sweetheart and so fun to work with. We have developed a great

friendship over the past few years. She will continue to be my go-to

florist in the future!” Kim Conners, Bride.
